JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Summary: (Overview of key purpose and accountability of the role)
The role of VP/Director, OCOO Europe provides a diverse range of analytical research, strategic and/or operational support. The role holder will provide day-to-day leadership on key initiatives and will be responsible for providing a corporate-level view on a select number of high-priority operational issues and act as the representative of the executive (TDGF COO and Europe COO) on a broad range of matters as assigned. The position requires a highly effective communicator with expertise in providing decision support and insight to senior leaders, and discreetly managing matters that are both sensitive and highly confidential in nature.
This role requires a natural leader with excellent verbal/written communications skills and a thoughtful, persuasive personal style. A self-starter who is comfortable in a changeable environment. This is a high-profile position with significant exposure to senior leadership both regionally and internationally.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Secretariat and facilitator of both UK Operating Committee and TDGF Operating Committee, providing support to the COO Europe and COO TDGF on matters relating to both UK Operating Committee and TDGF Operating Committee Governance, along with support in preparation of materials for all governance forums including relevant Boards.
  • Provide the COO Europe with an overview of management information, discussions and/or business issues in advance of key business meetings and events, including Operating Committees, Management committees and Board meetings. Co-ordinate follow-up on outstanding issues as required. Generate metrics to measure impact and holding teams accountable for success.
  • Coordinate the consolidation and delivery of all key weekly/monthly/quarterly COO updates
  • Identify issues and risks requiring research or analysis, determine solutions/mitigations directly or in consultation with relevant functional / business leaders, other internal / external groups as necessary, and provide meaningful information in response to issues / questions raised
  • Oversee effective communications, liaising with stakeholders to ensure timely and relevant communications on key business issues, evaluating speaking opportunities, and drafting summaries, speaking notes and presentations
  • Organize and participate in the COO’s planning initiatives, and broader, by providing analysis, strategic perspective and following up on key deliverables.
  • Drive, influence and execute initiatives in accordance with the needs of the businesses and the business operations. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of support and control functions, head office and consultants in order to deliver projects or initiatives according to plan.
  • Work closely with the senior executive team in support of issues that require specific follow-up and handle tasks as assigned by the COO office and will interpret key governance and strategic initiatives, objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. This will include liaison with internal and external stakeholders, conducting research and preparing briefings, coordinating communications activities, managing and tracking progress against key objectives, and maintaining a current understanding of TDBG strategies and direction.
