What You’ll Do Prepare and serve nutritious, flavorful meals based on planned menus and resident preferences Follow approved recipes, portion guidelines, and safety standards Keep the kitchen and food service areas clean, organized, and compliant with sanitation standards Plan and coordinate meal preparation to ensure timely service Support menu changes and substitutions as needed Ensure all meals for residents, staff, and guests are properly accounted for Collaborate with your team to create an exceptional dining experience Report any concerns or needs to the Director of Food Service or Executive Director What We’re Looking For Previous experience as a cook — senior living or healthcare experience is a plus! Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Ability to lift up to 30 lbs regularly (and occasionally up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods A positive attitude and a genuine passion for serving seniors Preferred Experience Two or more years of experience cooking for large groups Experience preparing special diets (diabetic, low sodium, vegetarian, etc.) Education High School Diploma or GED required Qualifications
