HOPE ~ HEALTH ~ HEALING Full-Time Employed: 40 hours/week 8a - 5p Sat - Wed MUST HAVE - Current and Valid Food Protection Manager Certification or equivalent Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Directs food and kitchen related services; Implements standards, policies, and procedures governing the food services. Manages and trains staff members and behavioral health recipients in meal preparation, to include safety, health and sanitation regulations. Responsible for the overisght of menu planning and meal preparation. Performs kitchen inspections and provides recommendations to Program leadership. Ensures site compliance of safety, health and sanitiation requirements. Purchases, receives and stocks supplies as required and monitors inventory. Facilitates non-therapeutic groups related to independent living skills (ILS) training to include: nutritional education, food preparation, and budgeting. Establishes and maintains a therapeutic working relationship with behavioral health recipients that is strengths-based and recovery-focused; provides feedback to clinical team on behavioral health recipient's development. Coordinates communication and collaborates with other components of the organization and outside agencies related to food and kitched related services. Participates in clinical meetings, trainings and other activities as required. Two years of experience in a medium to large food services institution. A bachelor's degree in a nutrition related field is preferred. Current and valid Food Protection Manager Certification or equivalent certification required. Must have ability to perform First Aid or CPR as necessary and appropriate. Knowledge in use of Electronic Health Records - NextGen a plus. Experience working with diverse populations preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Minimum typing speed of 25 wpm Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be at least 21 years of age, possess a valid and current Arizona Driver License and a current satisfactory 39-month Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or apply for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card (Level 1) within 7 working days of assuming role. Must pass background check, TB test and other pre-employment screenings.
