SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Certificate III Commercial Cookery
  • Hold a current First Aid Certificate (within 3 years) and CPR (within 12 months).

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We have new opportunities for experienced Cook/s to join our team in within the Northern Territory including Alice Springs, Tennant Creek, Mutitjulu, Katherine, Docker River and Nhulunbuy. These busy and rewarding roles are offered on a permanent, full-time basis and is at a salary of $33.22 - $33.72 / hour gross base dependent on qualifications and experience.
This role would ideally suit a skilled Cook who enjoys working in a multi-functional kitchen. You will be required to prepare and serve meals in a timely manner according to standardised recipes and dietary requirements as advised by the Clinical Team. Monitor and maintain quality standards in menu planning and food preparation and assist to ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, infection control, and quality standards
This opportunity will suit a committed and hard-working candidate who has both a sharp eye for detail but, most importantly wishes to work with staff to ensure all possible is in place for the safety of our residents.
You will be flexible with your availability and shifts will include weekends. You will be comfortable working autonomously and be self-motivated.

ARRCS MANDATORY COMPLIANCE - PLEASE NOTE, THIS IS NOT REQUIRED AT TIME OF APPLICATION, HOWEVER, IF SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE, MUST BE OBTAINED PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT:

  • A National Police Check dated or lodged within 3 months of commencement.
  • Current year Influenza Vaccination.
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check.
  • First Aid Certificate and CPR.
