Claw and Hammer Fine Dining Restaurant in Newport, Rhode Island is seeking a skilled and motivated Line Cook to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality, refined dishes with consistency and precision. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and passionate about fine dining cuisine, with a strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Prepare and execute menu items according to established recipes, plating standards, and chef instructions * Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation of all dishes during service * Set up and stock assigned station with necessary supplies and ingredients * Work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-standard kitchen environment * Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times * Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service * Assist with prep work, daily specials, and seasonal menu items as needed * Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstation before, during, and after service * Properly store food and follow FIFO (First In, First Out) practices * Support team members to maintain overall kitchen efficiency QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS * Previous line cook experience; fine dining experience preferred * Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen equipment * Ability to follow recipes and instructions precisely * Excellent time management and multitasking abilities * Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality * Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays * Ability to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen equipment or supplies as needed * Culinary degree or formal training a plus, but not required WHAT WE OFFER * Competitive hourly pay * Professional, team-oriented kitchen environment * Opportunities for growth and advancement * Employee dining discounts * Ongoing training and skill development
