Job Summary The Cook Assistant provides assistance in day to day food provision in the kitchen from preparation of ingredients to cooking of food till the food serving. Ensures that daily production requirements are achieved as per recipe and in adherence to HACCP plan. Job Responsibilities 1 Ensures food safety requirements are met during the entire flow of food in the section. Complies by the principles and correct food practices as prescribed in the customers’ food safety manuals or as prescribed by government regulations of Qatar and as directed by his/her immediate superiors. Ensures the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic Washing utensils and dishes and making sure they are stored appropriately Sorting, storing and distributing ingredients Performs washing, peeling, chopping, cutting and cooking foodstuffs and helping to prepare salads and desserts Cleans and sanitizes work areas and equipment according to establishment protocol, deep-cleaning equipment and work areas as needed. Maintains a high standard of personal and general cleanliness and hygiene to comply with statutory and organization regulations. Job Responsibilities 2 Additional Responsibilities 3 Job Knowledge & Skills • Knowledge of Food Safety • Familiarity of various health and safety regulations • Can work variable hours reference to the client’s demand and operations requirement. • Can work in well lighted, hot, noisy kitchen and extensive walking and standing. • Knowledge of cleaning procedures • ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.Job Experience Two years experience with one year on the job experience.
