REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience:
  • Proven experience as a Cook, preferably in an Indian restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of traditional Indian cooking techniques and ingredients.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent culinary skills with a focus on Indian cuisine.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Education:
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred but not required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Capability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 pounds).
  • Dexterity to handle kitchen equipment and tools safely.

    Pay: $65,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation:
  • Prepare and cook a wide range of Indian dishes including appetizers, main courses, side dishes, and desserts.
  • Follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in taste and quality.
  • Ensure all food items are cooked and presented according to the restaurant’s standards.
  • Kitchen Operations:
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations and coordinate with kitchen staff.
  • Ensure the kitchen is clean, organized, and complies with health and safety regulations.
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain proper stock levels.
  • Menu Development:
  • Collaborate with the head chef to develop and update the menu, introducing new dishes and seasonal specials.
  • Experiment with flavors and ingredients to create innovative and appealing dishes.
  • Quality Control:
  • Taste and inspect dishes before they are served to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Monitor food portions and waste to maintain cost control.
  • Customer Service:
  • Occasionally interact with customers to understand their preferences and receive feedback.
  • Address any food-related issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
