Position Description : Prepare food items for customers using a quality predetermined method in a timely and consistent manner. Prepare and cook food according to prescribed menus, standardized recipes, and procedures, requiring the exercise of some judgment and initiative. Organize and prepare mis en place. Measures and mixes ingredients according to recipe to prepare soups, salads, gravies, desserts, sauces, and casseroles Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment, and dishes. Reports directly to the Chef de Cuisine Skills & Abilities Minimum of three years’ experience as a Cook B in a similar size operation Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language used in the workplace. Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to read recipes and follow their instructions. Thorough working knowledge of cold/hot food preparation Education High school or equivalent education required. Must possess basic computational ability.
