Description · Must have basic knowledge of food preparation. · Accepts food deliveries and logs the type and quantities. · Ensures proper food-handling requirements are met. · Sets up the serving line in a neat and orderly way. · Operates all equipment in a safe manner. · Works closely with the assigned students to ensure kitchen and dining room areas are clean. · Ensures the correct portion of meals is served. · Assists in proper food storage. · Ensures all safety rules in the kitchen and dining room are followed. · Provides quality customer service to the students that we serve at all times. · Participates in teamwork between students and staff; including interdepartmental teamwork. · Monitors area of responsibility to ensure timely and high-quality services. · Complies with all DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulation, Job Corps notices and bulletins, and Center policies and procedures. · Maintains good housekeeping in all areas and complies with safety practices. · Participation in PRH mandated staff training is mandatory. Failure to participate may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination. Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. One to three months related experience and/or training. High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) and/or equivalent combination and experience NRA Food Service Sanitation or equivalent/Safe Serve. Valid State Driver’s License.
