Description

Join Our Kitchen Team in the Heart of the Countryside!
We’re a warm, family-run café set on a stunning flower nursery in the beautiful countryside of Rotherfield. Our menu celebrates the best of fresh, locally sourced produce—much of it grown right here on site—and we’re passionate about creating delicious breakfasts, brunches, lunches, and indulgent afternoon teas for our lovely customers.
We’re looking for a talented and enthusiastic Chef/Cook to join the BB family. This is a chance to work in a creative, friendly environment where quality, seasonality, and presentation really matter.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Cooking fresh, made-to-order breakfasts and brunches.
  • Baking delicious cakes, scones, and other sweet treats from scratch.
  • Creating new recipes and seasonal menus that celebrate the best local produce.
  • Keeping a spotless, organised workspace and following the highest food hygiene standards.
  • Working in our open kitchen, where customers can see the passion you put into every dish.

We’d love you to be:

  • Calm, professional, and able to work well under pressure.
  • Organised and great at multitasking.
  • A team player with a genuine passion for local, seasonal food.
  • Creative and eager to bring fresh ideas to the table.

The details:

  • Daytime hours (e.g. 9am–3pm), including weekends. 4-5 days a week
  • Full-time or part-time available.
  • £13.00–£14.00 per hour, depending on experience.

If you love cooking, take pride in your craft, and want to work somewhere where your creativity is valued, we’d love to hear from you!
