JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook/ Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, or the willingness to learn. You will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are met, and delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment
  • Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
  • Experience in food preparation, meal preparation, and serving is essential.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to work collaboratively within a team.
  • A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for guests

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications, for sometimes in excess of 100 diners at a time
  • Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory control, stock rotation, and ordering supplies as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.
  • Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Monitor food quality during service to ensure guest satisfaction.
