Role & Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Chef/Cook to take on a key role in our kitchen operations.
Plan, prepare, and execute a high standard of menu items with consistency and creativity
Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations
Manage inventory, ordering, and stock rotation to maintain freshness and reduce waste
Collaborate on menu development and seasonal offerings in line with café branding and customer trends
Maintain strict compliance with occupational health and safety procedures and food handling practices
Monitor portion control and presentation to ensure high-quality standards are
Skills & Qualifications
Minimum of 1+ year of relevant experience as a Chef or Cook in a commercial kitchen
Formal culinary qualification (Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent) preferred
Demonstrated ability to manage kitchen operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Strong knowledge of contemporary Australian café cuisine and brunch-style menus
Exceptional organisational and time-management skills
Proven leadership abilities with a focus on collaboration and team development
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Understanding of HACCP and WHS practices
Job Types: Part-time, Casual
