Job Description – Breakfast & Lunch Cook (Mediterranean Café Style)
We’re looking for an experienced Breakfast & Lunch Cook to join our kitchen team at Pool Coffee. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy café environment, is confident cooking both classic and Mediterranean-inspired dishes, and takes pride in consistency, speed, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and cooking a variety of all-day breakfast and lunch items, with a focus on Mediterranean café-style dishes
  • Running service smoothly during peak periods, ensuring speed without compromising quality
  • Handling prep, portioning, stock rotation, and minimising wastage
  • Maintaining high kitchen hygiene and food safety standards at all times
  • Assisting with opening and closing duties in the kitchen
  • Working alongside front-of-house to ensure seamless service

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum 1–2 years’ experience as a cook in a busy café or casual dining environment
  • Strong breakfast and lunch service skills (eggs, grills, sandwiches, salads, and Mediterranean-style plates)
  • Ability to work independently and manage high-volume service confidently
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Must be available for early 6am starts and weekend shifts
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude Passion for creating fresh, flavourful dishes and contributing to a positive team culture

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $24.95 – $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 45 per week
