COMMUNITY KITCHEN COOK (PART-TIME – THURSDAYS)

St Pancras Community Association (Camden) is looking for a skilled and community-minded cook to lead our Community Kitchen, as part of our Community Kitchen, Warm Space programme running every Thursday.
The cook will prepare nutritious, affordable meals for local residents, manage food purchasing within budget, and oversee volunteers in a welcoming, inclusive environment.

KNOWLEDGE ESSENTIAL:

  • Experience of cooking and serving good quality food at competitive prices.
  • Understanding of the HACCP procedures for food safety, storage, and control.
  • Has (or willing to) complete Food Safety and Hygiene Certificates.
  • Knowledge of nutrition and ability to create balanced meals.
Responsibilities
  • Planning and preparing healthy meals for large groups (up to 40 people, including families and children).
  • Purchasing ingredients cost effectively
  • Ensuring food hygiene and safety standards are met
  • Supervising 1-2 volunteers and supporting safe kitchen practices
  • Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen space
