We are looking for Thai Cooks to join our team.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 2 years of related work experience OR
• A minimum of NZ Register Level 4 qualification, which may substitute for experience (overseas qualifications must be comparable to the standard of the New Zealand qualification) OR
• The National Skill Standard Testing Level 1 (Thai Cook or Thai Chef) from Thailand AND
• Knowledge of Thai food ingredients

JOB DESCRIPTIONS

• Check ingredients like vegetables, meat, seafood, and herbs to make sure they are fresh and good quality.
• Control the heat of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment.
• Prepare and cook Thai dishes such as curries, stir-fries, soups, salads, and desserts.
• Season food during cooking to get the right flavour balance.
• Serve food by portioning it, plating it, and adding sauces, gravies, and garnishes.
• Store food safely in fridges, freezers, and other temperature-controlled places.
• Make food to suit special diets, like vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free.
• (May) Help plan menus and work out how much food to order.
• (May) Teach and guide other kitchen staff or apprentices.
