Description Our Independent Living community is looking for Cooks that is responsible for preparing and cooking meals for our residents and their guests located in Colorado Springs area. Full Time Position Job Responsibilities: · Providing excellent culinary customer service to our residents in a restaurant-style atmosphere · Prepare and cook meals in accordance with pre-established menus and recipes · Maintain kitchen, food storage, and preparation areas in a clean, sanitized, and safe state at all times · Working closely with the Culinary Director to provide residents with a satisfactory dining program · Responsible for opening and/or closing the kitchen · Documenting temperature of food prior to service and refrigeration/freezer · Understand and follow standard food safety practices · Review daily menu and review menu items · May perform other duties as needed or assigned Physical Demands: Must be able to stand/walk for majority of the work day; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; must be able to stoop, bend, reach, and kneel frequently throughout the work day; may be exposed to extreme heat and extreme cold from ovens and freezers; must be able to see, hear, and speak; may be exposed to industrial cleaning chemicals.
