COOK/COORDINATOR – COMMUNITY MEALS

Wangaratta, VIC | Temporary Part Time (24 hours per week until June 2027) | $33.34 per hour + super
We’re looking for a community-minded Cook/Coordinator with a passion for food and people to lead the delivery of our Community Meals Program.
This is more than just a cooking job — it’s about creating inclusive, welcoming spaces where older people and people with disabilities can share a nutritious meal, connect with others, and feel part of something meaningful.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

• Planning, preparing, and serving healthy two-course meals for program participants
• Supporting dietary needs with care and cultural sensitivity
• Engaging with participants to shape menus and meal experiences
• Maintaining a safe, clean kitchen that meets food safety regulations
• Managing supplies, budgeting, and meal program records
• Helping foster a warm, inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels welcome
• Occasionally preparing meals for special events or celebrations
