Job Description: Part time permanent opportunity, 24 hours per week Excellent benefits including salary packaging Kew location About the Role We are currently seeking a Cook /Food Service Assistant (IN16 & IN13 - IN14) to join the team on a part time basis on the PM shift. Under the direction of the Support Services Coordinator, the Cook is responsible for plating, cleaning and providing meal services to all residents. You will prepare and produce simple meals, modify patient meals and fluids as per menu requirements for day, reheat all patient meals and serve in conjunction with the Food Services Assistant on duty. FSA duties include sandwich and salad preparation, dishwashing, meal trolley delivery and dishwashing Prepare short order meals as required Ensure core temperature has reached above 75 degrees Monitor waste management Maintain work area in accordance with Food Safety standards, including thorough kitchen cleaning and sanitizing Inform coordinators of required food stock levels Classifications for this role will be FSA IN13 - IN14 ($50,866 - $53,508) and Cook IN16 ($62,540 per annum pro rata) Your Contribution Food Safety Certificate HLTFSE001 Food Safety Supervisors Certificate HLTFSE005 & HLTFSE007 Previous experience in a commercial kitchen Previous experience in an Aged Care environment (desirable) Current NDIS Check, or willing to obtain What We Offer A focus on wellbeing initiatives, with regular events and programs Confidential, solutions-focused employee counselling A healthy work/life balance encouraged.
