They are responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting food items with a strong emphasis on consistency, quality, and efficiency. Each dish prepared by our Cooks reflects our standards for freshness, flavor, and presentation, ensuring that every guest enjoys the same excellent experience, whether they are visiting for the first time or are a daily regular. Cooks are expected to maintain a thorough working knowledge of our menu offerings, recipes, and preparation methods, as well as stay informed on any seasonal or special items. They must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, prioritize orders, and work collaboratively with fellow team members to support smooth kitchen operations. In addition to food preparation, Cooks are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of their workstations and the overall kitchen. This includes following all health and safety guidelines, properly storing ingredients, and ensuring that equipment is cleaned and maintained according to company standards. Our Cooks contribute directly to the efficiency, reputation, and success of our cafés by consistently producing high-quality food, supporting a positive team environment, and upholding our commitment to excellent customer service through the meals they prepare Requirements Previous cook or kitchen experience preferred but not required Excellent verbal communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills Must possess a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement with a hands-on, cooperative approach in a team environment Strong organizational skills and accountability in completing all tasks in a thorough, accurate and timely manner Able to lift up to 50 pounds Able to stand for prolonged periods of time frequently Mix of standard office, manufacturing, and retail store environments
