JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in creating delicious meals that meet the dietary needs and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or culinary setting
• Strong culinary skills, including knife skills and meal preparation
• Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations
• Experience in catering and food service
• Familiarity with dietary department operations and menu planning is a plus
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment

  Pay: $14.34 - $14.56 per hour

• Assists with child recruitment.
• Assists identifying and recruiting prospective families and volunteers for Head Start.
• Assist with recruiting, training and directing activities of volunteers.
• Assists with parent, families and community in obtaining in-kind contributions for the center.
• Participates in staff meetings, or obtain meeting information, and attends trainings as needed.
• Participates in the annual self-assessment process.
• Shares janitorial responsibility duties on site/center for the purpose of maintaining a clean, safe working environment inside and out for all.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned or needed.
