We are looking for a Cook to join our dynamic team. This position is a FULL TIME - 6 month term. You will be offered is a great team environment, work/life balance and the ability to cook healthy and appealing menus for residents. Qualifications Education & Experience Culinary school certificate or degree is an asset Previous experience in a kitchen (1–3 years is typical, depending on the position level). Technical Skills Knowledge of food preparation techniques. Familiarity with kitchen equipment (grills, ovens, slicers, etc.). Understanding of portion control and presentation. Ability to follow recipes and standard food preparation procedures. Basic knife skills. Knowledge using a computer. Food Safety & Hygiene Knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP or local guidelines). Food handler’s certificate or equivalent. Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for long periods. Ability to lift up to 40–50 pounds. Tolerance for hot, noisy, and fast-paced environments. Soft Skills Strong time management and organizational skills. Ability to work as part of a team. Attention to detail. Good communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and during peak hours.
