ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Meal Preparation & Service · Prepare, cook, and serve meals for patients, employees, guests and Congregate Meal clients according to menus and dietary guidelines. · Organize cooking schedules to ensure timely meal service. · Utilize kitchen equipment and diet lists to determine type and amount of food to prepare. · Communicate with Food & Nutrition Manager regarding menu changes or substitutions. Sanitation & Safety · Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas. · Follow state and federal food safety regulations. · Complete daily documentation and cleaning schedules. Communication & Documentation · Communicate effectively with other departments. · Report any operational issues or improvements to the Food & Nutrition Manager. · Complete all required training within designated timeframes. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: · High School diploma or equivalent · Ability to follow recipes and food safety guidelines · One year healthcare food service experience preferred · Knowledge of state and federal food code requirements preferred
