Description Park Place of St. John, an Assisted Living/Small House and Independent Living Community, located in St. John, IN is seeking a Cook, Full Time. Schedule and Hours: Must be available to work Thursday - Sunday, from 9:30AM - 6:00PM. Link to Benefits for Full Time Employees: https://www.providencelifeservices.com/application/files/9517/3342/6965/PLS_HR_Benefits_Flyer_IL_IN.pdf Description: The purpose of your role as a Cook is to prepare food in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, with our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Administrator and/or Dietary Director, to assure that quality food service is provided at all times. Review menus prior to preparation of food; and ensure that menus are maintained and filed in accordance with established policies and procedures. Ensure that all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies. Assist in standardizing the methods in which work will be accomplished. Prepare meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance. Serve meals in accordance with established portion control procedures. Requirements At least 1-2 years of professional Cook/Chef experience. Previous Cook experience for Healthcare environment ideal but not required. Pass a physical, drug screen, 50-pound lift test, fingerprint for criminal background and complete a reference check. EOE #LOW1
