This is a hands-on position in a busy kitchen environment, preparing a variety of sweet and savoury items from scratch, supporting catering orders, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. You will need to be flexible, as no two days are the same, and able to work under pressure while maintaining high standards.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
  • Proven baking and food preparation skills – sweets and savoury.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and a team-focused approach.
  • Flexibility with tasks and working hours.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and bake all sweets, pastries, and savoury items in-house (e.g., slices, patties, quiches).
  • Assist with preparation of daily café menu items and catering platters.
  • Support catering services, including high teas, events, and large group orders.
  • Ensure all food is prepared to high quality, presentation, and taste standards.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene in line with food safety requirements.
  • Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining a calm and positive attitude.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen and café staff to ensure smooth service.
  • Contribute to maintaining excellent customer satisfaction.
