This is a Highly Sensitive Position and a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, along with a clear Vulnerable Sector Check is required.   This employment opportunity is open to all applicants.   This position provides food services for clients and staff within established guidelines, and according to the food safe standards for healthcare settings. The cook provides service within the facility. The cook ensures that the food production/reheating are done according to food safe practice guidelines as determined by the Food Safety Code of Practice for Canada’s Foodservice industry, as front line staff for infection control, all employees must ensure that principals of food safety, infection control and cross contamination are strictly adhered to.   Reporting to the Supervisor, Food Services, the Cook provides food services for Churchill Boarding home and patients within established guidelines, and according to the food safety standards for healthcare settings. The incumbent ensures that the food production is done according to food safe practice guidelines as determined by the Food Safety Code of Practice for Canada’s Foodservice Industry. Responsibilities
The Cook is responsible for providing food services for clients and staff at the Churchill Boarding home following healthcare food safety standards. They must ensure all food production and reheating adhere to the Food Safety Code of Practice for Canada’s Foodservice industry.
