REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 2 year cooking experience
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, and knife skills
  • Experience in Korean cuisine is an asset
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
  • A passion for Japanese and Asian culinary art and flavours
  • Ability to handle stress, multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Motivated and quick learner
  • Desire to learn and grow as a cook
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour (based on experience)

Additional pay:

  • Tips: Shared between Front of House (60%) and Kitchen (40%), averaging around $100 extra per week

Responsibilities
  • Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies.
  • Responsible for ensuring food and safety protocol is met.
  • Stock and maintain sufficient levels of prep at all times to ensure a smooth service flow.
  • Ensuring quality checks of dishes are up to restaurant standard.
  • Maintaining a clean and sanitary workstation including the line station, preparation area and refrigeration equipment.
  • Maintain a positive and professional work environment.
  • Closing duties (i.e. garbage disposal, sweep/mop kitchen floors)
  • Other duties as assigned
