As part of our team, you’ll play a vital role in creating a positive environment for residents by preparing nutritious and balanced meals that meet a variety of dietary needs. Schedule: 24 hours per week, with the requirement to work every other weekend. We are seeking a reliable Cook to join our kitchen team. This role is responsible for preparing meals in large quantities, maintaining a safe and clean kitchen, and ensuring that all dietary requirements are met for our residents. Responsibilities Prepare meals by following established recipes, measuring and prepping ingredients, and using commercial kitchen equipment. Ensure all ingredients and finished products are fresh and meet food safety standards. Maintain inventory at cooking stations and communicate shortages to the Kitchen Manager. Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment regularly Operate ovens, broilers, grills, fryers, and other commercial equipment safely. At least one year of experience as a cook or in food preparation for large groups. Serve Safe certification preferred. Knowledge of commercial kitchen standards, food safety, and sanitation procedures. Strong time management and organizational skills. Ability to communicate respectfully with residents and staff. If in recovery, applicants must demonstrate sustained abstinence and stability.
