SALARY INFORMATION

CG-25: $24.26 to $26.71 per hour.
College of the North Atlantic’s Happy Valley-Goose Bay Campus is currently seeking applications from qualified individuals to fill short-term staffing requirements that may arise from sick leave, vacation leave, or an increase in operational demands. This position would be casual in nature; hours will vary; and the successful candidate must be available on short notice for day, evening and/or weekend shifts. Candidates must be flexible in order to meet operational needs.

Responsibilities

· Prepare, cook, and serve meals for the cafeteria, student residence and special functions at the Happy Valley-Goose Bay Campus.
· Operate and maintain a variety of cooking equipment, following safe operating procedures.
· Prepare, handle and store food in compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation guidelines.
· Clean and sanitize all work areas, utensils, and equipment on a regular schedule.
· Monitor and maintain inventory of food, beverages, and supplies, assist in ordering, and ensure minimal waste through effective stock rotation and portion control.
· Collaborate with the supervisor to plan daily or weekly cafeteria specials.
· Assist in catering and special events on campus, which may include menu planning and food preparation.
· Perform other related duties as required to support the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen.
