Organization: SOPS-Sutter Outpatient Services - Yuba City Position Overview: Focused primarily on either preparing cooking ingredients or operating a food station in a cafeteria setting, this position is responsible for ensuring the quality and presentation of food for patients, staff, and visitors. Supports the functionality of the department by providing general sanitation including cleaning and storing dishes, utensils, and pots, and disinfecting work areas. Gains confidence and cooperation from peers and supervisors through effective communication and competent job performance. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure sanitization and safety while delivering optimal performance. Job Description: EDUCATION: HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE: SS-ServSafe required TYPICAL EXPERIENCE: 1 year recent relevant experience SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of maintaining a safe food environment including proper cleaning procedures and various equipment. Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Possess written and verbal communications skills to communicate with fellow team members, supervisors, patients, and other hospital personnel. Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies and procedures to achieve objectives and meet deadlines. General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook).
