OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background and a genuine love for food preparation. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in creating delicious meals that delight our customers while adhering to food safety standards. This position requires teamwork, creativity, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant or kitchen environment.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation methods, and food safety regulations.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen.
  • A culinary qualification or relevant training is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and menu specifications.
  • Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
  • Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are maintained at all times.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
  • Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report any shortages to the kitchen manager.
  • Assist in menu planning and development based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
