POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Indian Cook/Prep Helper to join our team at Can-Indian Kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Indian cuisine, with the ability to assist in cooking, food prep, and maintaining the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Indian cook with food prep, including chopping, marinating, and prepping ingredients.
- Cook and prepare dishes according to Can-Indian Kitchen’s recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.
- Follow food safety standards and ensure a high level of hygiene.
- Assist in stocking and inventory management.
- Help with plating and presentation of dishes when needed.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in an Indian kitchen or similar cooking environment is a must.
- Knowledge of Indian spices, cooking techniques, and traditional dishes.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Must be NON-VEGETARIAN (due to the nature of the dishes being prepared).
- Must have a car or valid driver’s license for potential transportation needs.
