POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Indian Cook/Prep Helper to join our team at Can-Indian Kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Indian cuisine, with the ability to assist in cooking, food prep, and maintaining the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Indian cook with food prep, including chopping, marinating, and prepping ingredients.
  • Cook and prepare dishes according to Can-Indian Kitchen’s recipes and standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.
  • Follow food safety standards and ensure a high level of hygiene.
  • Assist in stocking and inventory management.
  • Help with plating and presentation of dishes when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in an Indian kitchen or similar cooking environment is a must.
  • Knowledge of Indian spices, cooking techniques, and traditional dishes.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Must be NON-VEGETARIAN (due to the nature of the dishes being prepared).
  • Must have a car or valid driver’s license for potential transportation needs.

Pay: $15.20-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
