Company Description Maravilla's Culinary Department is a high energy, high production department serving almost 1,500 meals to our residents daily. Job Description Prepare and cook daily lunch and dinner specials. Perform daily food inventories and set preparation quantities. Prepare meals for residents providing high quality dining service that takes into account resident preferences and special dietary requirements in compliance with applicable food and sanitation regulations. Assist in the production of all menu items. Demonstrate safe food handling procedures, with special emphasis on critical control. Maintain consistently high cleanliness of work and storage areas. Qualifications Minimum of two years of cooking experience in breakfast and lunch. Perform daily food inventory and set preparation quantities. Experience in production cooking and/or preparing therapeutic diets is preferred. You need to be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English. Must have prior experience working with a Point of Sale ordering system. You have and/or are willing to obtain the necessary food handling and sanitation licenses You possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. You have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
