Description:

ABOUT YOU:

  • Require suitably qualified cooks to provide nutritious meal options to our residents
  • Reporting to the Catering and Housekeeping Manager you will ensure meals are prepared according to individual resident dietary requirements and served according to internal guidelines
  • Qualifications as a Cook (Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery)
  • Experience in a commercial kitchen and Aged Care is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to operate in a team environment and during peak period
  • An understanding that producing nutritious meals is an important part of home life for residents (and their families)
  • Desire to make a difference and impact the lives of our residents by providing good meal preparation and technique
  • Ability to take direction from Catering Manager.
  • Time Management Skills
  • An understanding of and commitment to quality improvement.
  • Ability to adapt to different routines of the Catering Department.
  • Sound knowledge of HACCP and Food Policy and Regulations

We provide a safe and respectful home for people of all cultures and religions, and value the uniqueness of each of our residents. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality care in a compassionate and nurturing environment. As part of our commitment to excellence, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Cook to join our team.
You will be reporting to the Catering and Housekeeping Manager and will be working with a dedicated team of catering staff where you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality catering service to our residents, hold a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and cohesively with the team to assist in providing quality food for our culturally diverse community of residents.
