Job Summary:
The Line Cook at Monthill Golf & Country Club is responsible for food preparation and culinary tasks, ensuring that dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards and delivered promptly to guests. This role plays a vital role in supporting the culinary operations of both “Big Pete’s Steakhouse” and “Fore Seasons,” as well as catering services for weddings and special events.
Duties:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables and butchering meat
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Follow recipes accurately and maintain food preparation processes
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly
- Monitor food stock and place orders when there are shortages
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment
- Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations
- Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience in the food industry or as a cook
- Proficiency in meal preparation techniques
- Familiarity with restaurant operations
