Join Lodgco Hospitality Today! We are on the lookout for an evening Cook to create delicious meals  for our guests at the Lobby Bistro, situated in the Hyatt Place Sarasota / Lakewood Ranch. Job Summary: Duties include completion of daily prep list; preparing a variety of hot and cold food items; washing, peeling, slicing measuring and mixing ingredients; assembling dishes and working with the kitchen team to distribute food to our service staff. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS * Set-up kitchen properly and on time daily * Ensure all food is prepared by recipes designated by brand * Ensure food quality and quantity are correct * Must follow all QA and Health Department standards * Notify supervisor of any problems or complaints when they arise * Follow “clean as you go” policy and keep work area clean at all times * Rotation of goods – FIFO (First In First Out) * After service, turn off and clean oven tops, work areas, and reach-in boxes. Empty and clean dishwasher * Make sure production charts are closely followed and adhered to * Fill out appropriate cleaning charts * Be aware of accident prevention and help enforce safe work conditions * Follow all kitchen regulations as outlined and directed * Complete administrative duties as required OTHER DUTIES Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to verbally communicate, listen, stand for long periods of time, ability to walk, kneel, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds. EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK This position requires variable hours based on the needs of the hotel including nights and weekends.
