QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

• Exceptional team building and resolution skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to speak courteously in any situation.
• Formal training or experience with a current Food Safe certificate.
• Ability to follow specific instructions.
• Able to stand for long periods of time in a noisy environment and able to lift up to 50lbs (22kg).
• Understand policies and procedures and ability to follow through.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Current Serving it Right will be required
• Must be legally able to work in Canada and live reasonably within commuting distance.

Work Location: In perso

• Prepare meals for established menu items. Prep food (ie hand cut fries, home made burgers and soups), stock line ingredients and keep area clean at all times.
• Consult with Food & Beverage Manager on new recipe ideas and menus for special events.
• Remain calm and in control when events such as multiple orders occur.
• Maintain awareness of environment and safety around equipment/appliances.
• Be able to work independently at times and assist with dishes and deliveries.
• Understand and respond to customer inquiries regarding menu items, promotions, and any other product or service offered at Chances Cowichan.
• Immediately see to potential safety hazards and report as necessary.
• Undertake other tasks and housekeeping duties as assigned.
