ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for AM and PM cooks and will schedule people according to their scheduling preference and in line with their work history.
As the Morning Line Cook you will be tasked with preparing items from our breakfast menu (starting at 7:00 AM) and our lunch menu (starting at 11:00 AM) as well as assisting with the daily cleaning and tear down of the kitchen prior to evening service.
The PM Line Cook will work with the other BOH team members to produce high quality and intricate dishes from our PM “fine dining” menu. The shift will begin either at 12:00 PM or 2:00 PM in the prep kitchen before building out our stations for the evening and executing dinner service from 5-9 PM. The shift will typically end around 10:30-11:30 depending on overall business.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • The ability to follow recipes.
  • The ability to work in a team and communicate with FOH.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Cooking menu items according to recipes with an eye towards consistency and quality.
  • Working with the BOH team to create daily featured items with consideration to cost, variety, flavor, texture, and overall presentation.
  • Maintaining a sanitary and safe work environment.
  • Seeing to the storage of food items and ensuring the product is properly rotated to ensure freshness and minimize food loss.
  • Working with FOH staff to ensure customer dietary needs are met and issues are resolved quickly and with minimal disruption to guest experience.
  • Using your voice and experience to make recommendations for the improvement of the operation and business as a whole.
