JOB SUMMARY:

Taylor Diversion Programs (TDP) is seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep/ Cook to join our TDP program team located in Sheffield, PA. The ideal candidate will be responsible to plan, prepare, and cook lunch and dinner for 15 males (ages 14-21) and 5 staff members daily (M-F). He/she will ensure that meals are nutritionally balanced and appropriate for the dietary needs of the group.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience:
• At least 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen setting
• Experience in preparing meals for large groups with varying dietary needs
• Skills:
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling.
• Ability to prepare and serve meals efficiently under time constraints.
• Ability to communicate clearly and work well as part of a team.
• Other Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• ServSafe Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (up to 25 lbs).
• Salary: $18.00/hour

• Food Safety and Sanitation:
• Ensure all food is prepared and stored in compliance with food safety regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including regular sanitizing of surfaces and equipment.
• Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies, and assist with ordering and stock management.
