DESCRIPTION

Glebe House is looking to recruit a Cook to join the team. This is a part time role of 10 hours per week
Glebe House is a residential service located in the Georgian market town of Caistor, near Marken Rasen, Lincolnshire. The home supports 24 males and females with mental health needs. We are located semi-rurally, on the north-west edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the service and to support the wellbeing of our residents. While your role doesn’t involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you’re assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.

  • Ensures the effective and efficient planning and delivery of all aspects of food preparation and cooking, taking account of dietary and nutritional requirements within the unit. Actively involved in the preparation, cooking and serving of food and beverages as well as supervising the work of catering support staff and ensuring operational standards comply with the company’s ‘Assured Safe Catering policies’ and guidelines and statutory regulations.
  • Ensures that stock ordering and rotation is organised in an efficient and cost effective manner.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

  • The role holder’s will numerate, literate and will have been trained to NVQ3 standard with an Intermediate Food Safety Certificate.
  • Experience of preparing, and cooking meals gained within a professional kitchen environment.
