Job Description
We are looking for Full Time - Cook to join our fast pace working environment to provide high quality customer service to our guests at our Sydney International Lounges.
Our Cook provides service mainly in a buffet environment. All our roles are focused on exciting our guests with flair and enthusiasm and demonstrating a genuine passion for customer service and the kitchen. Reporting directly to the Sous Chef, you will form a key part of a team who are responsible for providing high quality product to our lounge passengers. This is a great role for someone studying cookery and wanting some experience in a kitchen or for an experienced cook wanting some extra hours.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Cook in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Must hold a food safety certificate
  • Strong culinary skills and a passion for delivering exceptional food experiences.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent an advantage but not essential.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • MUST have full working rights within Australia
  • Able to work a Full Time contract
  • Ability to pass a federal police background security chec
Responsibilities
  • Prepare, cook and serve food for the breakfast buffet showing variety and flair
  • Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage following stock control procedures
  • Assist the preparation of ingredients, which includes chopping, slicing, dicing, and measuring food products.
  • Ensure Food Safety protocols are followed
  • Keep all working areas clean and tidy. Cook is required to wash all dishes during service
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained, serviced and cleaned. Report any problems to the CDP & General Manager.
