Description Cook – Recovery Center of Niagara Hours: 5:30 am-2:00 pm and 11:00am-7:30 pm Payrate: $18.00-20.00 per hour/Full/part-time positions available We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cook to join our team at the Recovery Center of Niagara in Newfane, NY. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and cook nutritious meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and individual resident needs - Ensure all food is prepared safely, following proper hygiene and sanitation standards - Plan menus in collaboration with healthcare professionals to meet nutritional requirements - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food storage areas - Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed - Adhere to all safety protocols and food handling regulations - Record and document meal preparation and service activities Skills and Qualifications: - Proven experience as a cook, preferably in healthcare or institutional settings - Knowledge of dietary restrictions and nutritional guidelines - Ability to follow recipes and food safety standards meticulously - Strong organizational and time-management skills - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment - High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training or certification is a plus Join our compassionate team dedicated to supporting individuals on their recovery journey. Excellent time management and teamwork skills Must pass all required background checks per NYS and school district guidelines
