Rozzis Franchising Pty Ltd operates a network of vibrant Italian canteen and restaurant venues across Victoria and Queensland. We are currently seeking a qualified full time Cook for the Melbourne location.
Salary offered is $76,515 per annum plus super.
The Cook will be part of the Rozzis kitchen team and will be responsible for preparing, seasoning and cooking menu items according to restaurant’s standards.
The applicant must have the following skills:
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or a related field
- At least 1-year full time work experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen
- Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast – paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
The Cook is responsible for:
· Examining food supply to ensure quality
· Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment at Rozzis
· Cooking high – quality, authentic Italian dishes
· Preparing doughs, batter, broths, and sauces for pizzas, pastas and salads
· Portioning food accurately, plating with care and finishing dishes with sauces and garnishes for a polished presentation.
· Storing food correctly
· Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
· Assist Chefs and management to plan menus and estimate food ingredient requirements to support kitchen operations in accordance with seasonal availabilities and market demands
· May train other kitchen staff as needed.
