SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS

  • Shift working: 6:00am-2:30pm, 10:30am-7:00pm each day, depending on department needs

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Prepares main entr es for breakfast, lunch and dinner according to standardized recipes in forecasted amounts prior to the start of room service
  • Making sure that appearance, taste, and temperature are at acceptable levels
  • Follows proper HACCP food handling policies and procedures on a daily basis
  • All proper food temperatures must be maintained.
  • Works with food and supplies according to established guidelines
  • All food products are properly dated, wrapped and labeled daily.
  • Replenish food to the Dining Room/Room Service area in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring proper appearance, taste, and temperature
  • All patient and cafeteria special requests are prepared in a quality manner.
  • Operates and uses equipment according to established procedures
  • All equipment, counters and sinks are cleaned and sanitized at the end of the shift.
  • Utilizes all leftovers to their best potential, keeping in mind quality and taste,
  • Employee maintains all coolers in a neat, clean and organized manner,
  • Keeps work area neat, clean and organized
  • Shows a willingness to take on additional assignments and/or put in additional time when needed
  • Assists other department personnel in completing their assignments when possible
  • Understand the duties of other comparable positions in the department so that coverage can be maintained in emergency situations
  • Job routines are followed daily,
  • Demonstrates courteous and cooperative behavior towards patients, visitors, supervisors, peers, and co-workers,
  • Demonstrates schedule flexibility
  • Attends scheduled departmental meetings and in-service
  • When assigned to the next day’s preparation, standardized recipes are followed daily.
  • All food items are accurately prepared for the next day.
