We provide an exceptional range of kitchenware, tableware and inspiration. We are looking for a Senior Cook School Instructor to join our teaching team. This role is ideally suited to a chef who is eager to move into teaching and share their passion for food, while also supporting lesson development and the smooth running of our Cook School. With evening shifts and part-time hours, this position is well suited to someone balancing other projects during the day. Paid overtime is available for lesson creation and recipe development. Responsibilities Teaching and Team Support Deliver engaging and practical cookery lessons to customers. Provide in-lesson guidance to assistants, ensuring best practice is followed. Assist in class development through new class suggestions, occasional recipe testing and existing class evaluations. Operational – Food Safety and Standards Maintain exemplary health and safety practice in all lessons. Maintain exemplary FIFO practice and communicate order updates. Ensure high standards of cleaning, and report breakages or maintenance issues promptly. Communicating issues to cook school management team to ensure operational smoothness across all sites. Operational – Costs and Efficiency Support refinement of lesson plans and ordering systems to reduce costs and wastage during structured sessions with the cook school management team. Help streamline processes during quiet periods or on non-teaching days. Development and Interdepartmental Support Assist with store demonstrations during retail peak seasons. Contribute to new lesson development and recipe testing on designated days away from teaching. 5 years of professional kitchen experience with a desire to move into teaching. Confident communicator who enjoys sharing skills and knowledge, focusing on the why not just the how. Excellent organisational skills with a focus on cleanliness, safety, and efficiency. Proactive and reliable, able to balance teaching with operational responsibilities. Flexible, with an interest in lesson development and supporting the wider team.
