Position Overview:
This role requires the successful applicant to work with the Culinary Team in the preparation of food for the restaurant and special events hosted at the St. Marys Golf & Country Club. The main responsibility will be to prepare a wide range of meals for public consumption in various settings, for groups in the events kitchen and individual dishes in the restaurant, Social Thirty-One.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
  • Prepares, cooks and assembles food such as meats, salads and dressings, soups, sauces, sandwiches, vegetables, desserts, pastries (desserts), baked goods, hot and cold buffets.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas regularly.
  • Exercises best practices according to food safety standards for hygiene, sanitation and safety.
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
  • Clean kitchen, storage spaces and work areas. Including alternate tasks assigned by Sous Chefs.
  • Work under the supervision of Sous Chefs or Chef de Partie.
  • Serve food to guests at buffets and events.

  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
  • Willing and able to work in a fast-paced environment, being able to prepare short-orders in a timely and high quality fashion.
  • Must be willing to work in all facets of the culinary operation, including preparation, cooking, deep cleaning, assembling and helping with the cleaning of dishes and kitchen tools.

  • Comply with the local kitchen sanitary regulations.
