POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for a reliable and skilled Cook to prepare and cook daily meals for our staff. The Cook will be responsible for planning simple yet nutritious menus, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and delivering high-quality meals on time every day.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience as a Cook, preferably in a staff canteen, hotel, restaurant, or similar environment.
  • Knowledge of food preparation, kitchen safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods.
  • Flexibility to adjust menus and meal preparations based on changing needs.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Certification in Food Safety and Hygiene (preferred but not required).
  • Ability to cook a variety of cuisines is an advantage.
  • Positive attitude and team spirit.

    Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED2,000.00 per month

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, cook, and serve daily staff meals according to the set menu and schedule.
  • Ensure all meals are nutritious, well-balanced, and meet hygiene and safety standards.
  • Plan weekly menus in coordination with the Supervisor, considering staff preferences and dietary needs where applicable.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering ingredients when necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, equipment, and storage areas at all times.
  • Adhere to food safety regulations, proper handling, and storage procedures.
  • Minimize food waste by practicing proper portion control and inventory rotation (First In, First Out - FIFO method).
  • Report any kitchen equipment maintenance issues promptly.
  • Support in occasional special events or meal requirements as needed.
