We are looking for a hard-working Cook who is passionate about food to join our growing team at the Station Hotel Parramatta. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has a positive attitude and a growth mindset. There is a lot of potential to grow in this role and within the group.
We are looking for a team-member who is passionate about producing great food, from pub classics to fresh & seasonal specials. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Experience as a Cook is required
  • Cooking of all sections
  • Understanding of stock control and waste minimisation
  • Knowledge of all kitchen procedures, food handling and workplace safety.
  • Food safety certificate

Experience:

  • Kitchen: 2 years (Required
Responsibilities
  • Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans and kitchen scales
  • Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients
  • Cook food in a timely manner
  • Inform wait staff about daily specials
  • Ensure appealing plate presentation
  • Slightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy)
  • Monitor food stock and place orders
  • Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items
  • Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
    Must have 2 years experience.
