Description St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic School is looking for a part-time substitute lunchroom food service worker, who will be responsible for food preparation, cafeteria setup, cleaning, dishwashing and serving food to students. The duties typically include: Preparing food to be served Serving food to students and staff Maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining area Operating and cleaning kitchen equipment such as oven, stove, warmer and dishwasher Following food safety and sanitation procedures Maintaining accurate records of lunches served via the student information system Cleaning kitchen and cafeteria after each lunch period Requirements Must be organized, efficient and task-oriented The job requires stooping, bending, walking, and standing most of the workday Must be able to stand for long periods of time in a warm kitchen environment Must be able to lift 25 pounds and handle institutional equipment such as pots, pans, packages, and cases containing food and supplies Must be able to wash dishes and clean the kitchen thoroughly on a daily basis All employees are required to consent to a background check, commit to our Code of Conduct policy, and complete online and in-person trainings prior to hire. Familiarity with the Catholic understanding of ministry is an asset.
