ABOUT TINY TURTLE BABY FOOD

Tiny Turtle Baby Food is a specialist manufacturer of high-quality baby and toddler finger foods. We are committed to providing nutritious and delicious food products designed specifically for the developmental needs of babies and toddlers.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking specialised baby and toddler food products in accordance with strict food safety standards and quality requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

An AQF Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, or an equivalent qualification. Alternatively, at least three years of relevant work experience as a cook may be accepted in place of a formal qualification. 1 year of relevant full-time experience is a must.

SKILLS AND PERSONA ATTRIBUTES:

Proven ability to prepare, cook, and portion food efficiently and to a high standard.

  • Meticulous in following recipes, monitoring quality, and ensuring the final product is safe and consistent.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other kitchen staff.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new recipes and production methods specific to baby food.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

· Examines orders and selects ingredients for preparing baby and toddler food products.
· Prepares and cooks food items according to specialised recipes for babies and toddlers.
· Regulates temperatures of ovens, kettles, and other cooking equipment.
· Portions food into containers and prepares it for sale and distribution.
· Stores food in temperature-controlled facilities to meet food safety regulations.
· Monitors the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and cooking.
· Assist in planning menus and estimating food and labour costs.
· Train other kitchen staff
