We welcome our residents, their families, and our staff with warm hearts.   We are looking for a Cook to prepare meals which meet requests and dietary needs of our residents. If you have restaurant cooking experience, are ready to make a difference, and put a smile on others' faces as they enjoy your prepared dishes, we want to hear from you.   Schedule: Part-time (Hours/shifts will vary, weekends/holiday availability, days, and evening shifts)   Earn between: $20.65 - 26.52 Depending on experience.   Summary: The Cook is responsible to prepare food in accordance with prescribed resident diet specifications, facility procedures, and dietary and sanitary regulations under the supervision of the Dietary Services Manager.   Job Functions: * Prepare and serve food and meals food in accordance with planned menus, diet plans, recipes, portion, and temperature control procedures and facility policies. * Direct and assist in cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment and floors, dishes, and utensils. * Check all trays for menu and diet preferences and accuracy; ensure proper storage of food and supplies; adhere to universal precautions and sanitary, safety, and infection control policies and procedures. * Be able to work in a non-temperature regulated environment (work near ovens, stoves, enter walk in refrigerators/freezers). * Ensure that food and supplies are available for the next meals and assist in inventorying and storing incoming foods and supplies, and report any hazardous conditions, equipment, accidents, and incidents.   Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Food Handler's permit / ServSafe certification as per State requirements. * Ability to communicate effectively. * Ability to relate positively and favorably to residents, families and to work cooperatively with other associates.   Benefits and Perks: * Flexibility in scheduling; ask us what options are available. * Career advancement opportunities * Health, Dental and Vision insurance options are available for you and your family. * Company paid life insurance. * Flexible Spending Account (FSA) * Health savings account (HSA) * Paid time off (PTO) * Tuition reimbursement * Unlimited referral bonuses and more!
